I have been in London plenty of times in the Winter, It has quite low rainfall, from all the times I was there, it rarely rained, much less so than my native city Dublin. Recent summers have been a lot warmer than usual, this may be Greenhouse effect ( Thank George Bush for this), London has a great buzz in the summer time, I recommend Covent gardens, nice beer, plenty of flirting with the locals etc, or oogling, ok here are the weather facts.

So remember you can get great weather in the Summer especially July and August, which is warm enough for people from all the hotter countries, in my opinion. Evenings are mild especially for me being from Ireland.

Winter can be chilly, never too cold, compared to some of North American winters, it feels like spring, o.k there is my 2 cents on the weather.

  • London has what is termed a temperate climate
  • London gets lighter rainfall levels compared to the rest of the United Kingdom, and has one of the lowest rainfall totals in the country
  • In the Summer temperatures rarely reach over 33 °C (91.4 °F)
  • Large snowfalls are not very common, 1 inch is considered the average maximum, snow only happens one or 2 days per year on average.
  • London also has a micro climate with temperatures potentially warmer by 5°C or 9 °F degree average warmer in winter time than outside of the main built up area.
